We are all living in a world where we get distracted a lot. Sometimes all we need is a little bit push to work on that extra mile. When it comes to working, some kind of motivation is needed. Of course, you can’t feel motivated 24/7 every day, that’s just not possible. Some days you will feel like you don’t want to work, but you will need to do it. We as people all get distracted and unmotivated on our path towards success in life. How do you get motivated for work?

Most of us just need a reminder that we are living one life. Maybe our work isn’t going to make us happy. Motivation comes from doing a job you love and pursue with full passion and commitment. And you do that every day 365 days a year. Motivation is not some kind of magic thing that will get you to work.

That’s why we compiled 10 ways to get motivated for work. These 10 ways are kinda like questions you need to ask yourself before going to work. These questions will determine if you truly love or hate your work. If you hate it, it’s time to create a different approach to your work and life.

1. Procrastination is Killing You

We all love to procrastinate on a daily basis. Just think of the time when you are working and suddenly you get one notification on your phone. That one notification is a trigger that will keep you from working. You will probably start scrolling through Instagram and Facebook and you will start watching YouTube videos.

Something that will help you increase your work time will be your focus. Your focus is the most important thing you need in order to get more results while working. One of the things that most young entrepreneurs are doing is they are keeping their phone off. Keeping your phone on an airplane mode can help you a lot. That will keep your focus more on the work and less on Instagram and other social media platforms.

If you are still procrastinating after your phone is off and on the airplane mode, then you need to stop. Ask yourself a question: “Do I love what I do and if not how can I fix that?”. Studies have shown that most people don’t like their job and since they don’t like their job. They will spend a lot of time on procrastination and they will feel uninspired to work on their job.

2. Money Will Not Motivate You

Even if you are working a job just for the money, it won’t motivate you. If you are thinking money will make everything good, it won’t. Yes, you can get fancy things and good dinners in the most expensive restaurant in the city. At the end of the day, it won’t fix your work ethic, your surroundings, your happiness and overall your mood. The money will only get you so far in life. The most important thing before the money is actually working on yourself and working on your passion. Building something you will be proud of for the rest of your life.

Things in life are worth chasing if they are making you happier and if you love the process of creating. If you love the process of creating and your work life, you will start being more happier than ever. If you haven’t found your true purpose yet, keep searching. You can’t go wrong with trying things and actually putting in the work. Trust and love the process, if you love your work you will feel motivated. And you will feel motivated every day. Whether that is a 9 to 5 cubicle or your own entrepreneurship venture you’ve just started.

3. What Are Your Goals?

We all chase something, whether that is money, happiness, respect or something else. As people, we have one thing in common and that is we all want to live a happy life. We all want to be financially stable and we all want the best for our family. Some people are working a job they absolutely hate. Some people are working a job they absolutely love and are passionate about it.

If you feel currently uninspired, maybe that’s because of your current position in life. Or maybe that’s because of your job. Look at the things that make you happy. Do you find the purpose in your job and work that you do? Would you love to go on a vacation instead of working in your office? Ask yourself that questions, it’s important to know why are you losing motivation to progress and go for more.

In life, you will never feel motivated every day. Some days you will need to take a break or work less. If you hate your job, you will hate every single day. You will hate to wake up every day at that same time. You will feel uninspired and unmotivated to work on your job. If that’s you, you probably need a change and a big one, but don’t be scared, change is awesome! Start by creating a life that you will love every single day. Start by creating something you are passionate about. That will help you as you will feel motivated to do the things you love the most.

4. The Law of Attraction

Law of attraction is one of the best ways to visualize something you truly want. You want to have peace and you want to love your job? Then visualize it first happening in your mind. This will remove all the noise in your head. You will get a clear picture of what you want to do, and how you want to do it. If you don’t like something in your life, first visualize it and then take action. Take action to actually remove it from your life.

Law of attraction is not some kind of bs a lot of gurus talk about. It’s actually very helpful in visualizing something you want and later achieving it. Again motivation will help you here and there but if you have a goal set it and visualized it in. You will be a winner. Did you know that Connor McGregor wasn’t always the best. No one was. He is preaching about law of attraction and how to use it to visualize yourself wealthier and happier. Connor used that in order to win a lot of matches in UFC. He also used it in order to become one of the most successful fighters and now entrepreneurs in the world.

Find your purpose, visualize your life around it and keep chasing it. No matter what you do in life, you got to take action on your dreams. Execute your ideas in order for them to come to life. Once you know your purpose, goals and your visualize them it’s over. You will keep chasing that goal until you finally got it. That’s why goals and visualization are one of the key factors to success.

5. Progress is Your Motivation

One of the most vital things in life is progress. We already covered goals, visualization and all that, but progress is something a lot of people don’t track or they just don’t care. In order to feel more motivated to work you need to have some kind of progress. Think of it like this if you want to lose weight you will need to track your progress if you can’t lose weight in a certain amount of time then there is no progress.

The same thing goes for life. If you can’t see progress go away from whatever you doing and restart your whole plan, if you can’t see any progress at your job you most likely don’t really enjoy doing it. If you can’t see the vision behind everything that you do in life, you most likely don’t even have a vision or you don’t have dreams to chase. Truth is, we all have something to chase and we all want progress, so the best way to see if there is any progress is to track it every single day.

Do you want to keep winning in life? You got to keep chasing something that it’s meaningful for you and you will always be motivated to work for more and more each day and each week. Once you feel happy waking up for work that’s when you achieved your dream. Because in all reality, not everyone can be entrepreneur, some people need to sit down and think about what makes them happy and chase that instead of other people telling them they will be happy with more money or more stress in their lives. Track progress, because progress matters. Life is hard and sometimes that hard times are actually the good times so just keep going.

6. Seek Criticism

We all love to work on our passion and sometimes we will all get criticized in life. Seeking criticism is actually good because you can often get into a mindset of thinking that everything you do is perfect, which in most cases is not. We are not perfect as human beings and we all need to adjust sometimes, that’s why searching and seeking for criticism is a good way of getting rapport of your work.

After you know what’s wrong with your work you can perfect your craft even more. Criticism is something we all can’t stand, but we all need it for progress in our life and for the progress in our work too. Once you know what’s wrong you can easily fix that and apply that to other areas of your work too.

Once you know that you are doing something wrong, you will feel motivated to fix it. Maybe you are working on your body and if someone criticizes you for doing a workout wrong, you will fix it. And you will start to be more efficient in your workouts. It’s all about criticism and applying that to your work.

7. Always Learn More and Strive for More

There is no doubt that working on your job or working on your business requires motivation and requires learning. The truth is you always learn and you always improve and strive for more. Failure and lessons are important aspects of any life. You shouldn’t be unmotivated once you reach a certain obstacle in your life.

Anything in life requires learning. If you want to go and learn how to start blogging, you will need to go out there and learn. You will need to actually start researching all the articles and videos and tutorials about blogging. Without that, you can’t go in on a business or a job that you don’t know anything about. You always need to improve by learning more and researching more about the topic you want to master.

Once you hit an obstacle in life, be sure to track what lead to that obstacle. If you can’t do that you will always be unmotivated to do your work. Once you know what’s wrong and if you are doing the wrong thing over and over again. You will most likely fix it. It’s all about learning and striving to be a better person. A better person at work and in life and also progressing which we covered in the last paragraph.

8. Be Patient

Most of us want immediate things in life. We all want to have more money instant so we are searching for how to make money fast. We are searching for fast and quick solutions to our problems. In all reality, we need to be more patient as people. The truth is, you can’t build great things in one day. You can’t even do that in one week. You always have to think about the long-term.

If you are an entrepreneur or you work a 9 to 5 job, you need to be patient. You will get that raise. You will get promoted. Maybe it will happen in a few days or maybe it will happen in one year. You need to trust your gut and you need to work for that and it will happen. People are often unmotivated because they don’t see the progress. Most of that comes from entrepreneurs. They are building businesses and most of them don’t see immediate results. Some of them don’t even see a single result in over one year. That can be hard at times, I’ve been there. It’s hard. But trust me it’s so worth it after you see your work coming to life and you start progressing.

Patience will teach you the best lessons in life. You want that car, well guess what, you will need to work for that car. You will need to wait for maybe 1 to 2 years until you have money saved up. Don’t do things that you will regret because you are not patient enough. Put in the work, trust yourself and always feel more motivated and chase the progress instead of money.

9. Love Your Work

This must be obvious but the truth is almost 85% of people worldwide hate their jobs. It’s because they don’t like the people and the workplace and they don’t have the flexibility. Most of the times people work in a 9 to 5 cycle, and it’s not that that’s bad. It’s actually pretty good if you have a good and understanding people around you. And also a boss that knows and accepts your flaws and your way of working.

It’s hard to love your work when you are working the whole day on something you don’t love. How to fix that? If you are not happy working your job, quit. It’s simple, but often hard to do and that’s understandable. Be sure to save up for at least 12 months of expenses before going into your second job.

Passion is priceless. If you truly love what you do, you won’t have to work a single day in your life. Be sure to spend more time thinking about your passion than other unimportant stuff in your life. This will help you understand your life and meaningful stuff in your life. Chase your happiness, because no one will chase it for you. That’s life. Start by searching for your passion. What do you like to do in your spare time? Can you make money off it? How can you make money with your passion? Can you start today? If yes, how can you start today? These are all questions you can ask yourself in order to start working on your dreams.

10. Plan Your Day

This is also one of the most important parts of getting work done and feeling more motivated to work. Planning your day is something not a lot of people are doing. Did you know that every successful person is planning their day the night before? It’s something you can’t go wrong with. Planning your day will give you more advantage with your work and you will get more work done. You will feel more productive because you have something you need to get done. You will also feel motivated to work more.

The best way to go about it is to use a checklist for your day. Use a checklist of the most important tasks you need to get done that day. Even if it’s the simplest tasks like going to the grocery store or going to the gym. When you are organized, your life will also be organized too. It will be easier to get stuff done and because of that, you will be more motivated more.

Final Statement

It’s all about what you do and how you do it. If you love your job you will feel motivated, and if you hate your job you will feel uninspired to work. It’s simple and it’s not that hard. You have to put your life in your hands and you have to start working on your future.

Keep working to become the best at what you do. Always put your head up and start with you! What do you want in life? What do you like to do? How can you motivate yourself to work for more?
